Just out of Martinet towards La Seu d’Urgell, turn right onto the road to Lles. You will pass through Travesseres and the village of Lles. Keep on going up through the meadows and then the pine forests until you reach the Refugi del Cap del Rec (alt 1,986m).  From here you can take a wide variety of walks here to admire the magnificent scenery. Or you can continue your drive up the mountain track until you reach a place you would like to stop.  There is a signpost to the Estany del Orri, which is peaceful and so beautiful. Or if you fancy something more arduous, you can go up to places such as the Cantabra, La Serra dels Galls (wild turkey mountain), La Font dels Mostics (mosquito spring), the Llacs del Satut or even to the top of Tossa Plana (alt 2,916m), where you can sign the visitors book!

Up here you will be able to get close to Hispano Breton horses which summer pasture in the mountains, search for wild mushrooms in season, simply enjoy the impressive panoramas across the Cerdanya valley or even have a barbecue.

 

 

You can either return the way you came or continue round the mountain track and eventually come down via the village of Aranser to Travesseres.
